Statement of Faith
The Supremacy of Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the exalted Son of God, holding greater glory than any earthly leader or ancient lawgiver. He is above all creation, and His authority is the final word for the believer. We reject “patriotism cloaking faith” and submit not to party or platform, but to the Prince of Peace.
The Authority of Scripture over Tradition
We hold that faith must be shaped by Scripture alone, rather than the “whispers of tradition” or theological systems that have quietly captured the modern imagination. We prioritize a biblical lens that emphasizes humility, responsibility, and the constant need to evaluate modern policies against the heart of the New Covenant.
The Kingdom and the People of God
We believe the Kingdom of God is not of this world and is not built on swords, flags, or national borders. The people of God are redefined not by ethnicity or geography, but by faith in Jesus Christ. We believe the Church is a single, unified “holy nation” called to bless all people, rejecting any theology that grants a political state immunity from moral accountability.
The Mandate of “Enemy-Love” and Compassion
We believe the gospel is inherently unsettling and calls us to a scandalous level of “enemy-love”. We reject the labeling of empathy as “toxic” and instead believe that true obedience is found in how we treat the “least of these”—the poor, the immigrant, the prisoner, and the victims of war. We are called to protect the stranger and defend the oppressed regardless of their creed or country.
Liberty, Conscience, and Non-Aggression
We believe that genuine morality must be freely chosen and can never be truly legislated through state coercion. We oppose centralized power and “central planning” as weapons that primarily harm the vulnerable. Consistent with the principle of non-aggression, we believe it is an injustice to force citizens to fund violence or foreign conflicts through involuntary taxation.
The Call to Render & Resist
We believe the Church must never “outsource” its compassion or morality to the state. Our mission is to “Render & Resist”: to give the state its due while fiercely resisting every form of tribalism, idolatry, and injustice that contradicts the way of Christ. We believe in a faith that speaks truth to power, prioritizing the cross and the love that overcomes evil.
